Hiking- and biking-routes are available at the reception. There is a beautiful lake at five minutes of the campsite, safe for adults and children to swim and get a suntan in the sand or on the grass. Fishing for trout is possible. Waterskiing and surfing is possible in a grand lake at 15 minutes of the campsite.
The waterfalls of Gimel. To hug the Dordogne with a Gabares!. The plateau of Millevaches and Monedieres offer plenty scenic beauty and historical sights. To go for a canoeing-trip on the Dordogne is absolutely recommended. Tulle with its cathedral, museum and accordion factory. The markets in many local villages where you can get a taste of the local dishes at the spot.
The domain of Château Sedieres (5 minute drive) offers you, besides an excellent possibility to hike an fish, to visit one of the many expositions that are organized every year. In the Corrèze you can go for a walk and not see a person for hours…
Besides the old villages, castles and churches there are many routes prepared to introduce you to the Correze.
Perhaps you like ‘La Route de la Pomme’ where you not only see apples in trees, but will also be introduced in the many ways to prepare and eat apples… There is also a “Nutsroute” where you can visit farmers who convert nuts. Off course there is no possibility to leave without getting a taste…St. Jacques takes you back in time. A time when pilgrims walked this historical route. The Richard Lionheart-route leads you among many impressive castles from the 11th. Century.
The famous Transcorrèziene-route was a historical train-connection between Tulle and Ussel. The last journey was in 1959. A visit to the suspension bridge is very impressive.
